Toronto – (November 8, 2000)
At 12 noon Mayoralty candidate Tooker Gomberg will vote for Mayor, Councillor, and School Board Trustee. He will vote at: Wallace Emerson Community Centre 1260 Dufferin Street.
“This is the first election of the new millennium. And people are realizing that they have a choice. They can vote for me, and bring in a new era in Toronto. With the stroke of a pen, citizens can elect a candidate with a track record fighting for, and achieving, great gains in urban, ecological sustainability. I have been speaking with thousands of Torontonians, and they are thrilled to learn that they have a choice for Mayor.” “Typically, 2 out of 3 Torontonians stay home and don’t vote. With so much at stake — the health of our children, the growing desperation of those in poverty, rents rising at an unjust rate — we believe that people will be voting for a change!”
